the love of painting

it was a "boring" afternoon, at least exclaimed amos, so he got to work in the kitchen baking muffins. of course thea wanted to help, though i didn't end up having to stand in the kitchen all afternoon...
thea needed her own work to get invovled in, and the decision to paint was a quick one. painting is fun, painting is challenging and painting is creative, nothing better than that.
very early on we decided, that the kids should be able to enjoy what they do and also be able to use good quality materials. even many years back elias used paints with a high value of pigment and this turned out to be especially important for naomi. she has been a crafter since very early and still is super creative be it with scissors or paints or scotch tape! and yes so very often paints made the day not just for naomi, but also for me...

and so here we start a new chapter with our littlest one...
thea is getting to know the acrylics and all kinds of brushes to be used on a nice textured and heavy paper. i do not have limitless materials but what we have is of nice quality.
and yes i do love to watch the kids paint, especially those very early strokes with the full brush on an empty space!
